Unit Report 3
Due: September 17 (in CourseDen Under assessments, under assignments)
Length: 2-4 pages (12pt. font, double spaced)
Content: Report should consist of the following sections:

Summary and evaluation of the resources (1 substantial paragraph). Here, you will articulate the most important lessons that you learned from the resources you read/watched during the unit (Soga & Gaston; Bakari; Sierra; Head) and explain why these lessons matter.
Description of (dis)connected nature walk (1 paragraph). First, you will spend one hour in nature while being disconnected from any digital devices or messages (e.g., your phone). You do not actually have to walk, but you should experience a place that you think is as close to natural as you find/get to. Here, you will describe what it was like to disconnect from the digital world and (hopefully) connect with the natural world. In so doing, you will describe what you saw, felt, thought about, etc. when you were disconnected from the digital world. You should include an image and/or video of the place you spent your hour in nature (record this image or video after you have re-connected).
Reflection on your (dis)connected nature walk. (1 paragraph). Here, you will discuss your experience of the nature walk. That is, you will discuss what you thought and felt while going through the experience you had away from the digital world and discuss the thoughts and feelings you have had about the experience since it occurred.
Scholarly analysis (1 substantial paragraph). Here you will use information gained in the course (e.g., theories, concepts, terminology) to analyze your experience of (dis)connection. In so doing, you will demonstrate an applied understanding of the scholarly resources showing that you comprehend the scholarly ideas well enough to relate them to your experience of the exercise. That is, you will analyze your experience of (dis)connection through at least one of the theoretical lenses provided in the resources. In so doing, you will include citations of the sources you use.
