Chapter 5 Discussion

Cultural differences should not separate us from each other, but rather cultural diversity brings a collective strength that can benefit all of humanity. Intercultural dialogue through art, literature, and movement is the best guarantee of a more peaceful, just and sustainable world.— Robert Alan (American writer, artist and social activist; 1922-1978)
In the next discussion I would like you to demonstrate your knowledge and appreciation of dance as blend of art, and culture.  Lets discuss your culture by applying the information in Module 8, and your textbook Chapter 8: Dance in World Cultures (pages 117-128).  Each individual in this class has a unique cultural heritage. The goal of this discussion is to share that heritage with the class.  If youre adopted, and unclear about your genetic background you will need to take a wild guess and go with it!
To receive full credit for the assignment please avoid using the same videos that have been posted in this module, or previous modules.
