Current events

Staying engaged in current events is critical in the business world. It is not only beneficial for employee’sv career development and education, but it can make employees more valuable to their organizations. The goal of Current Events Assignments is to encourage students to stay current with business trends relevant to key concepts in this course. Current events assignments will generally be written assignments but may involve other more creative or interactive deliverables. Students on an individual basis will write a 3-4 page –plus bibliography page(s),11 font size, 1.5-line spacing research paper on an instructor pre-approved marketing topic of student interest. This paper will explore recent trends, relevant research, and current best practices of the chosen marketing topic. Students are encouraged to develop topics that are in a field of marketing interest and focused on a certain type of business/organization and industry. For example, “Recent Sales Promotion Developments and Current Sales Promotion Best Practices in the Banking Industry”. Additional details will be discussed and handed out in class regarding the sourcing of information, APA style, grading rubric, and other information.
