I will hypothesize that encryption is not only feasible for cloud computing but is an absolute must for the security required to protect abstract:

Cloud computing is on-demand access, via the internet, to computing resources such as applications, servers (physical servers and virtual servers), data storage, etc. hosted remotely at a data center or managed by a cloud services provider (or CSP). The CSP makes these resources available for a monthly subscription fee or bills its consumers according to their usage.

Cloud computing services are divided into four main categories: platform as a service (PaaS), software as a service (SaaS), and infrastructure as a service (IaaS).

Cloud computing is the next big thing after the internet in the field of information technology and computer science. Cloud computing has continued to grow in popularity, usability, and reliability since its development in 1960 by  Google CEO Eric Schmidt. However,
data protection, data privacy, and other Security issues create a great threat to cloud computing.

In retaliation to the potential privacy and security risks, computer scientists have turned to data encryption to minimize this risk. Encryption is used to protect sensitive data by securing digital data using one or more mathematical techniques, along with a password or “key” used to decrypt the information. The encryption process translates information using a mathematical algorithm that makes the original information undecipherable. The use of both public and private key encryption makes it possible to hide the sensitive data of users, as well as retrieve ciphertext. 
According to security software provider McAfee, in 2020, 52% of companies experience better security in the cloud than on-premises. Gartner had predicted that by (2020), cloud computing would experience 60% fewer security breaches than those in traditional data centers.

This paper analyzes the feasibility of applying an encryption algorithm for data security and privacy for cloud computing services.
