Jeffersons Enlightenment learning is fully evident in Notes on Virginia. In Notes, Jefferson employs the natural science methods of observation and reason, grapples with theories of human difference and the thorny subject of slavery, and outlines his thoughts on law, constitution, religion, commerce, and other subjects in which he is clearly shaped by Enlightenment principles. Write an essay in which you outline the important features of Jeffersons beliefs in at least three subjects of discussion in Notes in Virginia, and explain how his writings on these areas are informed by Enlightenment through and methods.
