Before you start writing your discussion entry, please read the articles (or do some research on Khan Academy on your own) and develop an opinion on this phenomenon.  Afterward, choose a topic you are interested in (you will need to create an account for Khan academy) and watch the video carefully. Please present the video and your critique of it in your discussion entry. Explain what you like and dislike about this video (please be concrete and specify the situations you are referring to by stating the specific time (for example: When he explains on minute 3:05…). In your critique, please consider our previous discussions about “teaching mathematics through problem-solving” and “Common Core”.

Finish by discussing the question: Can such videos replace teachers and are they the future of teaching? And what does Schwartz mean if he speaks of the “illusion of understanding?”
