Personal Leadership Training Plan: Attributes
Project Overview:
Throughout this course, you will be building a personal leadership training plan. The final phase of the project (due in Unit VIII) is designed for you to reflect on what you have learned in the course. It is designed in phases so you can comprehend, analyze, and develop your own leadership plan that reflects the objectives for both the given unit and the course overall. The plan will be an integrated, synthesized product that encapsulates all four phases into your future plan.
Ensure that you support your work with course materials and outside sources. Outlined below are the requirements for each phase. For each phase, you will explain your traits using the content presented in that unit. The final Personal Leadership Training Plan that you will submit in Unit VIII will be composed of four phases: attributes, knowledge, skill sets, and experiences. The expectations for the four phases are described below:

Attributes (Unit II): What are your attributes? How can you improve or gain more to be competitive?
Knowledge (Unit IV): What knowledge do you have? What knowledge do you need?
Skill Sets (Unit V): What are your current skill sets? Where do you need to improve? What skill sets do you feel you need for the future?
Experiences (Unit VI): What are your experiences? Are they quantified, and have they shown results? Do they make an impact in the organization? What do you need to do to gain more experience?

Unit II Requirements:

For the Unit II PowerPoint presentation, you will focus on your own attributes as a leader and the attributes that you see in a leader of your choice.
Include the following within your PowerPoint presentation:

Define, outline, and identify your personal attributes with regard to where you are now with your leadership style. Support each attribute with an example from your life.

Predict the possible drawbacks of a charismatic leader.
Predict the possible drawbacks of a transformational leader.
Reflect on why you selected your charismatic leader and your biggest takeaway from this assignment.
(Examples of charismatic leaders include General George Patton, John F. Kennedy, Nelson Mandela, and Moses; however, you are not limited to choosing from this list.)

Include the following information about the transformational leader:

Describe any four of the six qualities that your selected leader possesses using the framework for analysis of a transformational leader, which was discussed in Van Wart’s (2015) article located in the Unit II Required Reading section.
Is a transformational leader detrimental to an organization or society? Explain.
Reflect on why you selected your transformational leader and your biggest takeaway from this assignment.
(Examples of transformational leaders include Ross Perot, John D. Rockefeller, Attila the Hun, Walt Disney, and Julius Caesar; however, you are not limited to choosing from this list.)
