Create three learning experience plans using the Learning Experience Frame. There are two versions of the Learning Experience Frame one with instructions ( Learning_Experience_Frame_with_Instructions.docx Learning_Experience_Frame_with_Instructions.docx – Alternative Formats ) and one without instructions ( Learning_Experience_Frame_No_Instructions.docx Learning_Experience_Frame_No_Instructions.docx – Alternative Formats ). You can use either to complete your learning experience plan, as long as the italicised instructions are removed.
Measurement and Geometry and Statistics and Probability (TWO TOPICS THAT NEED TO BE ADDRESSED IN THE ASSESSMENT!) . The series will involve two of the learning experience plans forming a sequence within one of the sub-strands of these two strands with the final learning experience plan focusing on a sub-strand within the other strand (for example, a sequence of two addressing the sub-strand of Using units of measurement of Measurement and Geometry and one addressing Statistics and Probability (such as within the sub-strand Chance).
Use reputable sources for activities within the learning experience plan, such as the following resources made available under Topic 1 in the Reading List:

The First Steps in Maths series of books;
AAMT website links to sources such as maths3000, reSolve, and top draw teachers;
NCTM Illuminations website;
NCETM website.

What to submit:

An introduction (approximately 300 words)
Learning experience plans 1 and 2 being the two in a sequence and in the order they would be taught (approximately 700 words per learning experience plan and approximately 200 word introduction for the series)
Learning experience plan 3 (approximately 700 words for the learning experience plan and approximately 100 word introduction for the plan)
A conclusion (approximately 300 words)

The word count is 3000 plus or minus 10%. This includes all text (headings, in-text citations, captions, and direct quotes). It excludes the Reference List. Please note for this assessment your marker will stop reading when the word count is reached and only award marks on the material read.
During the Topics, there will be opportunities to complete learning experience plans (ones that wont be submitted as part of this assessment) that can be shared with peers for discussion and for feedback from peers and your tutor. This will help develop the skills needed for creating effective learning experience plans that will be needed both in the short-term for this assessment but also in the long term for your role as an educator.
