See attached pictures and slides and follow instructions.Student Learning Outcomes:Apply the major theoretical perspectives and methods of educational psychology to teaching, learning and schoolingDetermine formative and summative techniques for evaluation and modification with group and individual instruction and learning strategiesApply knowledge of current standards and best practices in educationHow to Write Objectives Directions:What do you expect the students to be able to do as a result of this lesson? For example: The student will be able to identify elements of a cultural folk tale in group discussion and through individual story mapping with 90% accuracy. Note that this objective was written in a very particular way. Here it is, with each part of the sentence unpacked:Part I (Audience)- The student will be able to… Part II (Behavior)- identify elements of a cultural folk tale… Part III (Condition)- in group discussion and through individual story mapping… Part IV (Degree of Accuracy) – with 90% accuracy… So there are 4 parts to an objective:The Audience (The student will be able…)The Behavior (what the student will do…)The Condition (how the student will show they are able to do the behavior)The Degree (how well the student must do to show they mastered (or learned) the behavior)You can also think of it as ABCD. Audience, Behavior, Condition, Degree that are all written as one sentence Your objective must be written as one sentence with all four parts using a Bloom’s Taxonomy word (underlined) for the behavior. Use the diagram above for help in writing your behavioral word. Links to an external site.Note: Do NOT use the term “understand,” “be able to understand,” “learn,” or “be able to learn” as these terms cannot be directly measured and therefore are not behavioral in nature. For the degree of accuracy, you want that to be 80% – 95% because you want it to be achievable yet high enough that the students would be considered mastering the behavior. A degree of accuracy of 100% isn’t considered realistic as not every student will be able to master the behavior perfectly. Also, make sure the objective is grade level appropriate. For instance, Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and even 3rd graders cannot write essays and high school students should not simply color pictures. Here are some examples of appropriately written objectives: The student will be able to identify elements of a cultural folk tale in group discussion and through individual story mapping with 80% accuracy. Students will be able to describe major events in a story using key details in a story map with 80% accuracy. The student will be able to critique a movie identifying elements of Anti-Semitism while working in groups with 80% accuracy.Write two objectives using the format above. The first objective should use a word from any of Bloom’s first three categories, and the second objective should use a word from any of Bloom’s last three categories. See figure at the top of this page for reference. Each objective will be worth 5 points, with each part worth one point. The first objective format looks like this: A – The student will be able… (1 pt)B – what the student will do using a behavior word from one of the three first categories of Bloom’s taxonomy (1 pt)C – how the student will show they are able to do the behavior (1 pt)D – how well the student must do to show they mastered (or learned) the behavior (1 pt) All written as one sentence (1 pt)The second objective format differs slightly in that for part B, you will choose a behavior word from one of the last three categories of Bloom’s taxonomy.
